Update on Babies!

Shelly, Charles, Emily and Ashley are now home!  Shelly was diagnosed with postpartum pre-eclampsia so she had to stay in the hospital a little longer than normal.  She is doing much better now and was released to go home this morning.  They are spending their first note together as the four of them!  I am including a picture of Ashley as well as Ashley and Emily together.

Jeremy and I had a quick trip to the hospital yesterday because my blood pressure was really high as well, so Dr. Moser wanted to run some tests to make sure everything was ok.  We were able to see Baby Girl's heartbeat and her activity, as well as some contractions I was having but didn't even know it!  We were released to go home and now I'm more on "bed rest" than just "house rest" until she comes.  However, we will be induced the night of Tuesday, June 9th with her expected arrival on Wednesday, June 10th.  Only 1 1/2 weeks to go!

Ashley Ann Martin!

Ashley Ann Martin was born at 11:28pm Wednesday, May 27th. She is 8 pounds, 15 ounces and 21 inches long with a little bit of black fuzzy hair! Everyone is doing great - Emily is so proud of her baby sister and is really good with her, so I hear!

We Finally Have a Blog!

It has taken a little time but we finally have a blog! Since Baby Girl Ezell is due any day, we thought a blog would be a great way to stay in touch with everyone!

I am on "house rest" for the time being so I am working from home and otherwise staying off my feet as much as possible. Jeremy is enjoying his time since graduating a few weeks ago and is studying for his licensure exam.

Baby Girl will be here before we know it - our pregnancy has been wonderful and we have enjoyed every minute of it! I have really been hungry for ice cream, Taco Bell bean burritos without onions or red sauce and hummus - weird cravings but at least nothing really disgusting!

Shelly is having a Baby Girl tomorrow, if not sooner! I will post an update as soon as she is born and try to add a picture as well!

Some may be wondering the reason for our blog address - ezellfamilykitchen.blogspot.com. We both love to cook and try new recipes (Jeremy cooks and I bake) as well as entertain and have family and friends to our house. The kitchen always seems to be the spot where everyone congregates and talks, so we thought the address was appropriate since we hope to have many conversations on this blog! We will update the blog as often as possible, especially with the two babies on the way!
